"Moon Rises, Raven Seeks" is the second episode of the third season of Into the Badlands. It aired on April 29, 2018.

Synopsis[]

Sunny and Bajie seek help from Lydia. The Widow struggles to control M.K. Pilgrim seeks to establish a new order in the Badlands.[1]

Plot[]

Finally reaching their destination, Pilgrim arrives with his wandering crew and two assassins, Castor and Nix. This used to be a museum where visitors studied artifacts from the past. Now Pilgrim has brought back electricity and turned on the lights of the building.

At the refugee camp site, Bajie, Lydia, and Sunny are wondering how they can take care of baby with his new gift. Sunny will have to travel far and meet with a mad witch. Bajie will not travel with Sunny to meet the witch because she spreads lies.

The Widow has a new regent, Nathaniel Moon, and given him a new hand. With the use of his metallic hand, Nathaniel starts a brawl with a drugged-up MK. After knocking out MK, Nathaniel gets the order to find and capture Bajie.

As Castor continues to lose energy, Pilgrim ends up in a tough situation against a group of nonbelievers. Pilgrim blindfolds himself as he takes on the nonbelievers. He leaves one of them alive to show how merciful he is.

After a heart-to-heart talk, Bajie reluctantly agrees to travel with Sunny. He stops Sunny from driving a knife down Tilda’s throat. Sunny takes the knife away when Nathaniel suddenly shows up at the camp.

All of sudden, everyone at the camp is running away from Nathaniel. Tilda ends up stalling for Sunny as he makes his getaway. She offers to help Sunny on his voyage but he reminds her that it’s not enough to redeem her.

Knowing her camp is in danger, Lydia goes with Nathaniel to meet with the Widow. After what Quinn did to her, Lydia is no longer afraid. The Widow offers Lydia a plot of land, a safe haven for the refugees, but only if she gives up the Iron Rabbit’s location.

At the museum, Pilgrim starts The Sacrament on Cressida. He ends up shoving giant hooks into Cressida’s skin and hauls her into the air. Having a vision of future, Cressida believes she can see everything.

After getting his opium fix, MK has a haunting hallucination. He remembers that the person who actually killed his mother was Sunny.[2]
